Aranis, in bed, had the covers pulled over all of himself. Dandelion was nearly asleep on his chest, also under the duvet, purring. Aranis, stroking him, cooed, "You are so adorable, my Dandy," very quietly.

Denzel, quietly opens the door to Aranis's bedroom, all dressed and ready to go out. He tiptoes over to the bed and sets Lucky down next to Aranis's head. "Is Bunbun in there with you?" He gently prods the covers with a finger.

Aranis flipped the covers off of himself, knocking Lucky off unknowingly. When he sat up, Dandy fell onto his lap, and he held him there. "He was."

Den picks up Lucky and pats the bear on the head, smiling. "Yay. I was right." He reaches out to stroke Dandy. "Hello, cutie."

"All right. Why are you dressed so lovely? It's almost your bed time..." Aranis said blandly. He held the rabbit out to the boy and waited for him to take it before laying down. "It's my bed time, too."

He takes Dandy and cuddles him close. "We need to go out. I don't want to leave Mummy's ring any longer. You said you'd get it and it's been ages since I asked." He pouts at him, circling a finger around the rabbits ear.

"It can't wait until tomorrow?" Aranis whined. Then, he sighed and sat up. "Let's just get it done today, you're right." He pulled on his shoes tiredly, then gave him a smile.

Denzel nods back, smiling. "Yeah. It needs to be done now, because Elias told me a little while that he'll take me tomorrow and he can't, because I said I'd do it with you." He lifts Dandy up and gives him a kiss on the nose. "I love you. You're so cute!"

"Okay," Aranis said with a nod. He was happy he was the one Denzel wanted to do it with. It made him feel special. "Come on, now. Put Dandy in his cage." Aranis quickly combed his fingers through his hair, taming it.

"Mmhm." He goes over and puts the rabbit back in it's cage. Picking up Lucky again, he steps infront of Aranis. "A brush would work better."

"It's fine. You just want to hurry and go, right?" Aranis smiled again and stood, stretching. He then took Denzel's hand and started walking.

"Yup!" Denzel walks with him, holding his hand tightly. "Mummy and Caru made some carrot cake the other day. Is there any left, or have you eaten it all?"

"Ate it. It was great." He smiled, remembering his cake and the sex that followed after. He didn't quite mention the last part, but still, it made him happy. Aranis took him out to the car and held the passenger's door open for Denzel.

Denzel climbed into the car, setting Lucky on his lap. "Was it? My one was better, right Aranis?" He paused, thinking back to what his mum had told him. "Oh yeah. If Elias finds out you had sex on the kitchen table, he's going to freak out..."

Aranis held the door open to listen to him, then froze at the last part. "What?!" He said, surprised. He slammed Denzel's door shut, somewhat embarrassed as he went to his own side and slid in. He shut his door and sat, partly red.

Denzel giggled and then turned to face Aranis with a smile. "Table is for eating on, bed is for sex." He fiddles with Lucky's ears. "Mummy said I should have sex in other places other than my bed..."

"No, no, he's wrong. Bed is for sex." Aranis said this embarrassedly and stuck the key in the ignition, turning the car on.

"Then why do you have sex on the table? Everyone has sex on the sofa. I never want to sit on it again." Den pulls a funny face and then lifts up Lucky to talk to him. "Sex infront of the fireplace with no lights on and blankets, with Caru, Lucky?" He giggles. "Apparently it would be romantic."

Annoyed, Aranis shushed him. He drove out carefully, his hands at the proper places on the wheel. "Now, I need to drop by the gas station first. You will remain in the car, and I will run in."

Denzel nods. "Okay, Elias does that. I know how it all works." He relaxes more in his seat and closes his eyes. "Lucky, if Caru spends more time at L's house, I am going to cry."

Aranis gripped the wheel tighter, his turns sharper and less planned. He remained silent the whole way, more and more annoyed as Denzel rambled on about Caru. He got out of the car, slammed his door shut, and went inside the station.

Denzel watches him go inside, and then watches the other cars. "It always smells funny in these places." He carries on talking to Lucky. "I like staying in the car."

Aranis peered out the window to make sure Denzel was all right. When he figured he would be until he got out, Aranis stalled to calm himself, taking a deep breath as he sifted through some sweets.

Den then goes quiet for a while until a man comes over and asks if he minds being left on his own, and is okay. Denzel nods and tells him Aranis would be out soon. They speak for about a minute before Den puts some pills into his pocket with a smile. "I won't tell him. I can't wait to see him happier." He waves once to him as he walks away and then smiles at Lucky. "Happy sweets, Lucky."

When Aranis couldn't find any sweets that appealed to him, he huffed angrily and went to pay ahead for his gasoline. He came out a few minutes later and pumped his gas, silent, then slid back into his car when it was finished.

Den smiled at Aranis, hopefully to get a smile in return. "What's wrong, Aranis?" He put Lucky on Aranis's lap with a giggle.

Aranis didn't smile back at him. He just started up the car again, ignoring him and Lucky.

Denzel looks at him a little disappointed, and then takes one of the pills out of his pocket. "Aranis, open your mouth. I have a sweety for you. You need to eat it up, and you'll feel much better, I promise." He holds it up infront of him infront of his mouth, so he doesn't have to take it out of his hand.

Aranis inspected it, then furrowed his brows. "What is this, a vitamin?" He shook his head angrily. "Hell no. Get that away from me."

Shaking his head, Denzel frowns a bit. "No, it's not. It's a sweet. Vitamins are gross." He puts it in Aranis's mouth when he's talking and hopes he decides to not spit it out. "Candy. I wanted to share it with you."

Aranis thought this over, the pill resting on his tongue. He quickly chewed and swallowed it, then made a disgusted face, wiping his tongue on his shirt. "That is disgusting, you idiot!" He sounded like Ciel, and just gripped the wheel tight. He tried spitting the horrid taste out, unsure of what it was. He knew, though, it wasn't candy.

Denzel pulled Lucky back onto his own lap and stayed quiet for a long time, upset that Aranis had called him an idiot, and that he didn't like what he'd given him.

Aranis drove quietly, as well, then pulled the car over on the side of the street after a while. "I didn't mean to upset you," He said quietly. "That candy has an... odd flavor."

Denzel turns to him again, still looking upset. He had expected it to work right away, but at least Aranis was aplogising. "Maybe that one was a bad one. Try another. Don't chew it, just swallow it. Close your eyes and swallow it fast." He smiles a little, trying to cheer himself up.

With a sigh, Aranis opened his mouth. He didn't think that was the case exactly, but he had to do it to make him happy anyway. Although pleased Denzel was meaning best, Aranis was still fairly frustrated.

Denzel put another in his mouth with a smile. "There. Anyway, it doesn't taste bad for long. I had to eat a gross vegetable once." Den turned to look out of the window. "Are we nearly there?"

Aranis swallowed it whole, then sighed and shifted the car to drive. He then started driving slowly back onto the road. "No," He said. "We have to get to town first." He was beginning to feel sick, just a pinch more than usual. He didn't say anything, though, and kept driving.

"Okay." Denzel watched out of the car window, and carried on talking, but didn't look towards him. "Are you and mummy more friends now?"

Clutching his stomach with one hand, over time, Aranis began to dry heave. For a moment, Aranis felt as if he was going to die. Then it all stopped - his troubles, faded, the lights, fireflies dancing only around him and nothing else. He reached to touch one of them. He caught one. He held it and kissed it and swerved down the road, admiring its beauty.

Den had continued to look out of the window, but quickly turned towards Aranis when the car had swerved. "A-Aranis, the car is going wrong..." He nudged Aranis's arm lightly, trying to make him concentrate.

Aranis set a firefly down in Denzel's lap, then one on Lucky's head. "For you," He said, reassuringly. Then, he leaned down to kiss Denzel's forehead, his hand on the wheel, swerving more carefully towards the other lane. He sat up again and admired the color of the line painted in the road. It was the brightest he'd ever seen. He wanted to touch that, too.

Denzel watched him confused as to what he was doing, seeing as Denzel couldn't see the fireflies. Tilting his head, he relaxed a little as Aranis straightened the car. "What did you give us?"

Aranis continued to ignore his questions. In reality, he wasn't ignoring him - he was just far too distracted by all of the colors around him. He wanted nothing more than a hug or kiss and took Lucky and held him close. The fur felt fantastic on his skin. He pressed Lucky closer against his chest, trying to keep in his lane. He was failing at this, and when he went off of the road, laughed a little.

Denzel was rather worried, because Aranis wasn't consentrating on his driving. "Aranis, the car. Pay attention!" When he'd noticed the car had gone off the road, he quickly closed his eyes, scared.

Smiling, Aranis reached over to hold Denzel's hand tightly. "I'm paying a lot of attention," he said, dazed. He ran through a bush casually, trying to find a road, as he wasn't thinking straight. A stray branch left a small crack on the windshield, though Aranis only felt it and smiled wide.

Denzel let out a small whimper as he was terrified, and the crack on the windsheild only scared him more. They weren't on the road anymore and Denzel knew that wasn't a good thing. He wells up and grabs Aranis's hand tighter. "F-fix it! We're going to get hurt!"

Aranis pulled Denzel up into his lap, wrapping his whole being around him - not as protection, but because it felt amazing. Unknowingly guarding Denzel from what was about to come, he curled up around the boy and ran into the ditch. His foot, still hard on the gas pedal and only accelerating.

Denzel let him, as he wanted any kind of comforting, and just pressed against him, hiding his face, not looking ahead of him, as he started to cry a little harder.

Aranis watched the lights dance about as he rocked back and forth with him. The music in the car was the most amazing invention in the world. He turned it up as loud as it could go and sang the words he knew. He was having the time of his life, and didn't want it to end. When he ran hard into a big, sturdy tree, his head slammed hard into the wheel. Holding Denzel close, he was hardly harmed. He, himself, though, had several varying cuts. Glass has fallen all around them. Branches surrounding the car poked through every single window, which had broken on impact, along with the windshield. Aranis, now still, went limp around Denzel.

Clinging onto Aranis more, he let out a little scream as the music was turned up louder, and he felt the impact with the tree. The collision was unexpected because he hadn't been looking, and the jolt and hurt him a little, but not enough for serious injury. He didn't move, put kept his eyes screwed shut. He could smell blood now, coming from Aranis, but he didn't want to pull away to see the damage.

Aranis, knocked out, slumped more over him. When he slumped, he pushed Denzel to the side and fell to the floorboards, in an uncomfortable position. He remained still, blood dripping from his mouth and nose.

Denzel opened his eyes too look back at Aranis when he was moved, and then immediately wished he hadn't. He had felt the urge to be sick, but managed to stop himself. He knew that he'd have to see if Aranis would get up. He hesitated, his vision blurry from his tears and then moved a bit closer to Aranis to shake him gently. "...A-aranis, you need to wake up." Due to him being unconcious, he'd get no reply. Denzel strugged a little, but managed to get his door open enough to crawl out of and went around to the other side of the car, and then opened Aranis's side and dragged him out.
